About

B.1992 in Red Deer AB, Denon Vipond is an enigmatic designer of spaces, places, products, and speculative narratives. Currently based in Vancouver, Denon has worked professionally as an industrial designer and actively engages in self-initiated prototyping projects. His work is often defined by a childlike naiveté in regards to his approach to materials and methods, and a willingness to move back and forth between digital and physical mediums. Denon is interested in the role that time plays in developing ideas into physical objects and spaces - quickness, as it relates to rapid prototyping, improvisation, chemical reactions, and emotional validation - slowness, as it relates to patina, fermentation, obsolescence, decay, and memory.

A recent graduate of the Master of Architecture program at the University of British Columbia, Denon is eager to advance his career in architecture by pursuing professional registration through the AIBC Intern Architect program. He is interested in larger-scale public projects, hospitality and retail, and residential projects.
