Artificial Reef Maker Space on a Virgin Voyages cruise ship

The cruise industry may be an unsustainable partner for Caribbean nations, but they are here now so what are we going to do about it? How might we entangle the industries of tourism and wellness in a way that might actually benefit the Caribbean region in the long term? If a garden is a place for spiritual refuge, what if we made a “garden” on the Virgin Voyages Scarlet Lady in the form of a mindful meditation maker space? What if we could use this space to produce ceramic artificial reefs that might regenerate the marine life of this port of call, and prime it for the ships eventual exit? What if the cruise passengers could contribute to leaving this island better than they found it?
