Compost Digester and Public Plaza
In this studio we were asked to engage with waste materials to create a new public space and transit hub outside Vancouver’s City Hall. Taking this prompt I imagined a centralized compost processing system in the form of biogas digester. Biogas created by the compost digester would be used to fill inflatable canopies that cover the plaza. The biogas would also be available as cooking fuel for food vendors that might occupy the site and service the public.
